Food Allergen Notice

Please Read Before Ordering

Our foods are made in a commercial kitchen that also handles common allergens. We do not make allergen-free claims and cannot guarantee any product is free from allergen cross-contact.

At MNB Sweets LLC, we take food safety and transparency seriously. We want customers and families to enjoy our products with confidence.

Important Allergen Information

Our freeze-dried candy, fruit snacks, gift boxes, and other food products are produced in a commercial kitchen in Illinois. This facility may process products that contain the 9 major food allergens identified by the FDA.

The 9 Major FDA Allergens

  • Milk
  • Egg
  • Fish
  • Crustacean shellfish
  • Tree nuts, including examples such as almond, Brazil nut, cashew, coconut, hazelnut, hickory nut, macadamia nut, pecan, pine nut, pistachio, walnut, and others
  • Peanuts
  • Wheat
  • Soybeans
  • Sesame (per the FASTER Act)

Cross-Contact Risk

Even when an allergen is not listed in the ingredients of a specific product, cross-contact is possible. Cross-contact can occur when small amounts of an allergen are transferred through shared equipment, surfaces, storage, handling, packaging, or production environments.

What This Means

  • Always check the individual product label for the most current ingredient and allergen information.
  • Ingredients, allergens, and cross-contact risks may vary by product, batch, supplier, and production schedule.
  • We follow good manufacturing practices, but we cannot guarantee any product is completely free from allergen cross-contact.
  • We do not claim products are allergen-free, gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, organic, or FDA-approved unless that claim is specifically verified and stated on the individual product label.

For Customers with Food Allergies

If you or someone in your household has a food allergy, severe sensitivity, or dietary restriction, carefully read every product label before purchasing or consuming. Contact MNB with questions before ordering. Consult a qualified healthcare provider or allergist when in doubt.

For the full written program — receiving, segregation, cleaning verification, changeover checklists, traceability, and recall readiness — see our Food Safety & Allergen Control Plan.

No Allergen-Free Claims

Because of shared equipment and the nature of small-batch production, we cannot guarantee that any item is free from any specific allergen. We do not label products as "allergen-free," "gluten-free," or "nut-free."

If You Have Allergies

  • Carefully review product descriptions and ingredient information before purchasing.
  • If you have a severe allergy, please do not consume our products if you are unsure.
  • Contact us with questions before ordering — we're happy to share what we know.
  • Consult your healthcare provider or allergist regarding your specific allergy needs.

Our Commitment

We are committed to clear, accurate information so you can make informed choices. Our team follows FDA labeling requirements (including the FASTER Act for sesame) and Illinois food safety regulations.

By purchasing, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this notice and assume responsibility for any allergen-related risks.
